Before the TWC | 9th TAC World Championship

Preliminary information on the TAC World Championship 2023

When:
Friday, 28.07.2023 from afternoon
until Sunday, 30.07.2023 afternoon
Saturday, Players Night - Party from approx. 19:00

Where:
Grubethaus of the Grubetfreunde Aichach e. V., Grubet 1, 86551 Aichach.
Exactly 10 years ago we were already guests in Grubet and had one of the most wonderful world championships.

Catering:
Food and drinks will be provided directly by the Grubet friends.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are planned - vegetarian options are also available.
We will announce the dishes and their prices in time before the World Championships and ask for your wishes.
Drinks and food are to be paid directly to the grubbers in cash every day.

Accommodation in the vicinity:
Frankly speaking, the situation in the villages in the immediate vicinity is already not so rosy. All the rooms at Blumenthal Castle are already fully booked due to another event and most of the hotels in Aichach are also occupied for this weekend. If you know TAC players in the vicinity, you might be able to stay there. Otherwise you will have to switch to the nearest towns.

On-site accommodation:
In the Grubethaus there are two dormitories with a total of 16 beds for 15,- € per night and person.
You can camp on the meadow next to the Grubethaus for €5 per night and person, and there are a few parking spaces for motorhomes (without electricity and water) in the car park for the same price.

Entry fee:
At the moment we assume about 40,- Euro per person. The entry fee should cover our expenses for rent and other costs. Since we don't want to make a profit, but also no loss with the event, the calculation will take some time. Players or teams who cannot afford the entry fee should please contact us. It is not in our interest that you do not participate because you cannot afford it - discretion is a matter of course.

The preparation
We don't have an exact plan for the World Championships yet, most likely we will play TAC ;-)
If you haven't played at a TAC World Championship yet, you can take a look at the example of how it might work and study the tournament rules a bit. If you haven't had much opportunity to play TAC at all, you can brush up on the rules and tricks at tac-with-bug.herokuapp.com. Here you can play with and against other players from all over the world and chat with them. At online.spieltac.de you can practise alone, with and against two artificial intelligences.
