TAC-World-Champions-2023

Four years after the last TAC World Championship and exactly 10 years after our last visit to the Grubet friends, the 9th World Championship in TAC took place again in Grubet near Aichach from 28.07. to 30.07.2023. Besides teams from Germany and Austria, friends from Belgium, Iceland, Italy, Norway and Romania participated and formed 64 teams out of 128 participants and played a harmonious tournament for three days.

After almost 320 TAC games, which were held in eight groups of eight teams each followed by a knockout phase, the established team Devil & Angel from near Hamburg became the new TAC World Champions after a thrilling final (8:6) against Mach keine TACsen, the reigning German Champions. We congratulate Moni and Axel Hohenegger to the title and Jochen and Max, to the vice world championship. The bouncers (Kathrin and Martin Schaffer) played for the bronze medal against TACrash (Robert Akyol and Sven Hupfauf), which the latter won with a tight 8:7. The golden pineapple was won by Sonja and Bam Bam, the team Han-Son, in three rounds against 47 other teams. Automatically qualified and seeded for the upcoming TAC World Championship are of course the new World Champions Devil & Angel, qualified Team Han-Son. We and the teams celebrated the Players Night with the Turda Family with wonderful, rousing music and many a TAC song from Ben's pen - we take a bow to Ben, Martin, Sebastian, Leo and Moritz! Rolf from schusserland.de was able to provide many players with new marbles. Carina, one of the makers of the animal marbles, visited us and Lucy was able to convince one or the other that vegan food can also taste good. All of you coming was a pleasure, we say thank you! Big thanks also and once again to Erik, the creator of Tuvero. Without HP and Markus there would not be the many great illustrated memories - a big Merci goes to you! But our biggest thanks go to the friends of the Grubetfreunde Aichach e. V., whose hospitality and performance was unique.
